Manufacturing Services

In our decades of fabrication experience, we have curated a collection of specialty tools and we have honed our skills to make the most of them. Listed below are several of the primary processes we use on a regular basis. This is by no means an exhaustive list, but this representative sample accurately illustrates our abilities when it comes to manufacturing.

CNC Milling

We utilize both a manual mill and a custom 3-axis CNC milling machine to produce precision parts and components on any scale. Whether the job calls for a one-off part with complex fixtures, or  a production run of 50 or more components, we efficiently use the mill to meet the requirements.

CNC Laser Cutting

Laser work represents half of the capabilities of our CNC gantry laser and router table. We use a 40 watt CO2 laser to cleanly cut parts from plastic and wood, and we can precisely engrave these materials in addition to glass and anodized aluminum. With a working area in excess of 10 square feet, we exceed the size capabilities of many laser cutters in use.

Vacuum Forming

Our vacuum form machine allows us to create complex shapes form sheet plastic. This process involves heating the plastic stock, then stretching it over a form to create the required shape. This process allows us to create elegant profiles in smaller batches which would otherwise require large and expensive injection molding dies. We can create shapes with a surface area up to around 4 square feet.

Turning

Our 15" by 7' lathe allows us to complete turning tasks both large and small. Through this process, we can work on precision shafting and bearing journals, bearing carriers, hubs and more. Often the job requires only the lathe, however occasionally this serves as the first step in a process which later includes mill work or laser engraving.

CNC Routing

The router component of our gantry machine lets us more cleanly cut and 3D engrave materials where the laser falls short. We can cut large sheets of plastic and wood, as well as aluminum plates which are too large for our mills. We can also complete complex 3D engravings for signs and other large format displays.
